SPRING CAMPS
The purpose of our Spring Camps is to get you ready for a very important summer of training! June and July are the two most critical months to make the biggest jump in your kicking. You’ll leave this camp with a better understanding of what you need to do in order to take your game to the next level during that last window of time before the start of your season. Also, it is important to make a great impression at any College / University camps during the month of June. The Spring Camps are a great way to get prepared for those events. Learn the proper techniques and find out what it takes to fully maximize your potential, before your summer training window!
Camp will include: Teaching & instruction of techniques, drill-work, charting, competition scenarios, film review session, strength and conditioning information, mental training for sports, and a recruiting seminar. Each camper will receive a Taylor Mehlhaff Kicking Dri Fit T-shirt.
When you leave camp, the goal is that you walk away with a true understanding of your style conceptually, which allows you to become more consistent and efficient in what you’re trying to accomplish as an athlete. Our film session review will include analysis of yourself, as well as a study of both college and NFL kickers, punters, and snappers. The strength and conditioning portion of camp will encompass all things to help you gain strength, speed, and improve mobility / flexibility.
The idea of the recruiting seminar is to educate you on topics such as: how to navigate the kicking camp circuit, what college coaches are looking for from a film standpoint, academic requirements, how to look at college roster needs, how to both connect with and make your skill set more attractive to college coaches, etc.
PRE-SEASON CAMPS
The purpose of our Pre-season Prep Camps is to get you completely dialed in for the upcoming season. This is often times the last opportunity for you to receive any instruction and technical adjustments to your kicking before you report to your training camp. This isn’t just an instructional camp. At these camps we focus on a lot of the game scenarios that come up during a season. A lot of HS coaches have asked me to work with their kickers on directional kickoffs, mortar kicks, onsides, squib kicks, etc. Also, we’ll cover “last second” FG’s, getting “iced” with a timeout before halftime or end of game, full operation, whistle FG scenarios, etc. Also for the punters, backed up situations, sky punts, cross-field drop punts, etc. We will also cover what many coaches, athletes, and parents ask…what to do during the season for practice or on the sidelines during the game. You’ll leave this camp with a better understanding of what you need to do in order to take your game to the next level. Learn the proper techniques and find out what it takes to fully maximize your potential, both physically and mentally to finish the season strong!

FALL CAMPS
The purpose of our Fall Camps is to provide an in-season training opportunity. Whether you’re looking to fine tune your mechanics or gain confidence heading in the second half of the season, these are great learning opportunities in a small group setting. Because the majority of high schools and colleges don’t have dedicated kicking coaches, I have found that many athletes are looking for instruction mid-season. You’ll leave this camp with a better understanding of what you need to do in order to take your game to the next level.
